some more color….
From the kite festival at High Camp / Squaw Valley. It wasn’t quite as windy as anticipated, but I still managed to grab a few nice shots, and my son had a great time!

As I was shooting junk, Danielle chatted with its owner, who thought we might have fun at Rhyolite, an abandoned mining town just outside of Beatty. He was right, of course : ). The first thing we noticed was funky art, from Jesus (I think) with a bicycle to an oversized tiled bench; and on to old buildings and train cars. Where to go first?!? Again, not enough time… is there ever?
(Have I mentioned I love details?)

Nevada, in my opinion, should be called the “Like-Nothing-You’ve-Ever-Seen State”. Random stuff everywhere. WIth a whole lot of nothing in between.
On the way to and from Las Vegas a few a bunch of weeks ago, where my close (photo)friend Danielle and I went to immerse ourselves in the world’s largest photography trade show and convention, we stopped a few times to pull out the cameras; so many more things to shoot along the way, so little time! In Vegas itself we had zero time to shoot, which is really a shame, there are so many photo ops! Next time… maybe ; )

(Who can tell me what’s wrong with above image?)

As a group of bikers passed us, Danielle pulled out a camera and I drove alongside them for a while. She caught this priceless shot of Pretty-In-Pink’s deadly look:

Sherrin and Dan hosted a most delicious pizza welcome dinner, filled with lots of hugs and laughter, just the way it should be! What I couldn’t believe was to hear that they have the same birthday! That’s just too random… it MUST be good luck! Loved the environmentally conscious gift bags.
Here just a handful of impressions:

I need to hang out with Katina more – I seem to always end up with a gorgeous arrangement for my house! Love that. This one was “left over” from the Chamber Mixer at the North Tahoe Event Center.

My camera and me spent some time in the back streets of Truckee today, and found countless intriguing details – I just love weathered wood, peeling paint, colors and patterns. So here a few impressions:

I decided to change my logo to reflect my web address, and while I was at it, I overhauled my entire branding – stationery is still on its way, this is what it’ll look like:

A lot is going on behind the scenes, and I haven’t been shooting or posting much – I’m working on new sample albums which will be waaaaay cool, and I just can’t wait to have them; and then there are the vendor profiles… more on that later – I’m excited!
